Announced today, the new ARS-2210 (3.5")/ARS-2210P (5.25")/ARS-2210PL (5.25" with LCD) Industrial Data Mirror System series represents the company's newest range of industrial-grade data storage and real-time backup (mirroring) systems. The new industrial data mirror system series offers the following features:

   SATA-to-IDE/SATA data backup device

   Hardware RAID architecture for zero computer system overhead
   Support for two 2.5" SATA HDDs

Designed for industrial or high-end server applications, the new data mirror system represents an indispensable solution for the major system vendors.

The ARS-2210/ARS-2210P/ARS-2210PL data mirror systems are a series of internal data mirroring and real-time backup products that uses ACARD RISC processor ad storage controller technology to support disk mirroring, data reconstruction and maintenance. The ARS-2210 series uses 2.5" SATA HDD storage devices and its external dimensions are designed to conform to the standard 3.5" form-factor. It is also designed to meet most industrial-grade requirements such as high shock resistances, low power consumption and high reliability. The ARS-2210 can also be adapted to the 5.25" form-factor if required by the customer, allowing it to be installed in either 3.5" or 5.25" slots. Function-wise, the standard 3.5" (ARS-2210) is equipped LED indicators for easy troubleshooting. The 5.25" (ARS-2210P) model itself can be combined with an LCD and basic keypad module to offer users another option (ARS-2210PL).

Thanks to the patented mechanical design used for the ARS-2210 series, users do not need tools to unlock the screw knobs and remove the HDD trays for installation or maintenance. The same design also allows users to quickly cut off power to a malfunctioning HDD for hot-swapping. The ARS-2210 series of data mirror systems can be used for storing critical data. This ensures that a data backup is still available when one HDD malfunctions. As the ARS-2210 series is expected to operate at peak performance for 24 hours a day over long periods of time, aluminum alloy with its excellent heat dissipation performance was adopted for the system chassis. This prevents the heat from high-speed rotation of the hard discs from building up within the system, ensuring the safety of stored data. This technology and attention to detail is something you will not get from the average storage vendor.
Full hardware RAID is used for the ARS-2210 series using ACARD's SATA-to-IDE/SATA bridge and SOC engine. As a result, the device helps optimize overall system performance without consuming CPU resources during use. For industrial or premium server applications, it therefore delivers data security without impacting on overall system performance. The ARS-2210 series also offers excellent compatibility with most 2.5" SATA HDD products on the market. It therefore fully supports all current mainstream system specifications.
