May 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Hatters celebrated their 10th Birthday last year due to a successful formula of quality merchandise and staff that are well versed in account management, and ensuring a high level of brand protection and quality control, whilst keeping an eye on budgets and delivery schedules.

We are all well aware of the current economic conditions which are affecting most businesses with varying degrees. In previous economic downturns many companies had a more ‘knee jerk’ reaction and would have pulled all marketing spend. This time, however, hatters are finding that many companies are being more marketing savvy and are realising that promotional merchandise is an extremely cost effective and highly visible vehicle to promote their company.

Hatters have found that the market is still fairly buoyant to this effect but orders have been of higher volume but lower value. A large proportion of Hatters’ customers are regular trade customers (Advertising Agencies, PR Companies, Office Supply, Event Management companies) who know and trust hatters for their service and reliability. Hatters are finding that companies are not stock piling to the same degree as previous years, but rather ordering for events or promotions on a case by case basis.

These trade customers still have clients who need to promote their business, but there are also other challenges in the form of new business where expectations are forcing other merchandise suppliers to enter a price war. With other suppliers making very small margins at this present time to win new business, the question begs, will they still be trading next Year?

Hatters intend to promote the fact that they are members of the two biggest promotional merchandise trade organisations in the UK, BPMA and PROMOTA. Being members of these organisations offers customers confidence and reassurance that hatters are an established company with reliable credentials.

Hatters are extremely geared up in terms of managing expectations in this respect. With most of the North West’s advertising agencies on their books as well as a number of large blue-chip companies, hatters have a broad mix of both resellers and end users. With strong relationships with our customers we are able to be proactive with suggestions.

Hatters strengths lie in being able to listen to customers needs, advise effectively and source items that will fit with budget and expectations whilst meeting very tight deadlines.

Hatters realise that many companies are now looking for highly visible products with a high perceived value and have thousands of products on their website www.hatterspromotions.com that fit this brief.
