Nominations Invited for India’s largest Social Enterprise & Investment Forum

Single largest gathering of impact investors and dynamic social entrepreneurs

Feb. 11, 2009 - PRLog -- Mumbai, India – The deadline for nominations for the Sankalp Awards is the 15th of February, 2009. The Awards, currently supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, NABARD, and Rural Innovations Network (RIN), will showcase entrepreneurs and corporates with a clear business model in the following five sectors: agriculture and rural innovation, education, clean energy, healthcare, and other highly scalable social models.

Sankalp 2009 (www.sankalpforum.com), India’s largest Social Enterprise and Investment Forum, will take place on the 28th of April, 2009 and will be attended by approximately 500 investors (domestic and international), wealth-managers, entrepreneurs, bankers, policy makers, and other members of the ecosystem. The Sankalp Awards will take place at this event.  A total of 15 enterprises will be recognized in the above-mentioned sectors across three categories. The three categories represent different stages of an enterprise: emerging, high-growth, and high impact i.e. those that have achieved significant scale and impact.

Enterprises interested in participating are requested to send a three page executive summary (excluding cover page) to info@sankalpforum.com by the 15th of February, 2009. The executive summary should include:
i.   Description of the enterprise or idea
ii.   Overview of product(s) and/or service(s)
iii.   Brief profile of key people involved
iv.   Market analysis (including geography of operations and market competition)
v.   Current status of the enterprise
vi.   Enterprise goals for next 3 years
