To Save Jobs You Must Save Companies First

Westchester, NY – February 11 - Bruce Newman, Vice President of The Productivity Institute, LLC and publisher of THE PRODUCTIVITY INSTITUTE NEWSLETTER™ has some very strong points to make regarding the current state of the US economy.

Feb. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- His company, which is a leader in supplying pre-qualified, rated consultants to corporate clients, is becoming increasingly aggressive in terms of dealing with a corporate mindset that Newman describes as “paralytic”.

In an interview with Douglas Castle, a director of THE NATIONAL NETWORKER, Newman stated, “Companies have to survive this crisis if close to full employment is ever to be restored to our troubled economy. These companies, which are being pressured into laying off so many employees are not the enemy – in fact, their survival is essential for any rekindling of the economy. When I speak about replacing full-time positions with suitable consultants, I am not suggesting wholesale housecleaning and firing. I am suggesting the only logical solution, at least in the interim, for the preservation of these companies until they can become strong and healthy again. If a company doesn’t take the appropriate cost-containment measures, it will go out of business; that would permanently eliminate all of the full-time job opportunities.

“The survival of these employers should be our nation’s highest priority. The Productivity Institute wants to hear from these employers before they either go on downsizing sprees or before they toss in the towel. We are ready, willing and able to help these companies to do an immediate “Needs Assessment” before they take any irreversible action. Our mission is to help companies to stay in business by exchanging fixed costs for variable costs.”

The Productivity Institute is experiencing a dramatic increase in inquiries for assistance from companies. Newman is in a unique position of objectivity – he locates, qualifies and continuously rates consultants across a spectrum of specialties. And now he finds himself working with executives and Human Resource departments amidst a growing clientele.

Newman stated, “There is no company who can afford not to be a PDI client. The costs are negligible in light of the savings that can be created. More importantly, isn’t it better for everybody if we can help keep employers in business through this fiscal crisis? “

In a country with an increasingly defeatist culture, Newman offers corporate clients (from small businesses to middle-sized enterprises) a genuine solution.
