The Recession Is Knocking On The Online Bingo Door

In a previous article released on online bingo gala approximately 2 weeks ago, the effects of this ongoing recession to the online bingo industry were discussed in detail.

Feb. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- The media have caused a “stay home campaign”, which needless to say has created a rapid increase to the population of people that play bingo as it seems to be a classic cheap and popular form of entertainment, which people can enjoy from home.

What I had mentioned and analyzed 2 weeks ago is that over optimistic predictions of the future of any situation or any industry is what calls the law of demand and supply to pop in. The excess sudden presence of new bingo operators over the industry has brought in the demand and supply law, approximately 4 months after the announcement of the crisis.

Frequent readers of online bingo gala and online bingo players in general that search the internet periodically about new offerings across the online bingo industry surely have realized that the number of bingo operators has grown so much over the past year that it is rather confusing at the end of the day of where to play, what is offered and what the difference between the offerings is.

Now back to demand and supply law, a general saturation of the industry has been created due to this over optimistic view that online bingo is a niche market and that online bingo will prosper with minimum turbulence over this crisis, with minimum skills, minimum requirements and minimum inputs.

The requirements to join this industry have become very, very tight as supply has grown, pushing competition to sky limits.

All the newcomer opportunists or latecomers as they could be better described, have attacked a saturated industry and they are realizing troubles in surviving, as players are becoming much more demanding, much more aware of what is offered on the market and of course technology is moving forward at an accelerated pace which they cannot follow in terms of research and development due to excessive costs.

Competition is forcing incompetent operators with minimum cash flow to shut down, switch to becoming portals or more likely bought out by larger and more competitive operators that have the knowhow the experience and the brand loyalty to maintain a loyal audience.
