Kenyon Martin & Maserati of Cincinnati Host Fundraiser for Inaugural “Kamp Kenyon” Camp

Former University of Cincinnati Bearcat Kenyon Martin and Maserati of Cincinnati will host a fundraiser for the Inaugural “Kamp Kenyon” on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Maserati of Cincinnati dealership at 8:00pm.
 
Feb. 8, 2009 - PRLog -- Aldo Smith Foundation is proud to announce that former University of Cincinnati Bearcat Kenyon Martin and Maserati of Cincinnati will host a fundraiser for the Inaugural “Kamp Kenyon” on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Maserati of Cincinnati dealership at 8:00pm.  The event is to raise funds for 250 boys and girls to attend the four-day skills basketball skills instructional camp also has a unique curriculum that transitions student-athletes into collegiate sports and beyond.  “Kamp Kenyon” teaches boys and girls, ages 9 - 18 how to be the best student on and off the court.

Tickets are $100.00 for general admission.  All University of Cincinnati alumni, athletes, students, and staff can purchase tickets for $75.00.  Tri-State area coaches’ tickets are $50.00.  Upon RSVP limited guests will receive an exclusive invite for a private meet and greet with Kenyon Martin during the fundraiser.

For four years Kenyon Martin captivated the basketball fans of University of Cincinnati, developing from a relatively unknown prospect, to National Player of the Year.  He has continued his basketball success in the NBA from the New Jersey Nets to the Denver Nuggets.  In addition to earning a spot on the First Team All-Rookie Squad, Martin helped guide his team to two consecutive NBA Final appearances, 2004 NBA All Star, and represented the United States of America in the 2004 Olympic qualifying games.  

Now, in conjunction with the Aldo Smith Foundation, Martin is giving back to the community by providing a summer basketball program, which benefits 250 boys and girls of Cincinnati, Ohio.  Cincinnati is where Martin established his reputation while playing college basketball, and now he wants to come “home” and give back to his youngest fans that supported him every step of the way.
