Paul Calvert named as Tsiyon Radio Israel Correspondent

Feb. 6, 2009 - PRLog -- Calvert  will be providing Tsiyon Radio unique news and programming content from Israel. Calvert's appointment is expected to help listeners understand issues facing believers in the Land of Israel--a central location in Bible prophecy.  

In 1996 Calvert began visiting Israel as a volunteer.  He discovered a new-found love of Israel through his travels.  Once home Calvert found his love of Israel a part of his prayer life.  While praying in 2000, he felt God impressing upon him to "Come build the walls of Jerusalem."  Later while visiting a landmark he saw a sign that said, "Come build the walls of Jerusalem."  

Currently Calvert works in three different schools in Israel where he meets kids and families from diverse beliefs including Christian, Messianic, Jewish, and Muslim.  He regularly holds youth group meetings for Arab and Jewish kids to pray, praise God, and study the Bible together.  Daily Calvert comes in contact with people from Israel and the Palestinian Territories. This puts him in an excellent position to consider happenings in Israel, taking the full picture into account.

Calvert is no stranger to radio. He produces a weekly interview program called Focus on Israel and the Palestinian Territories which is made available from the new website, Israel News from Tsiyon Radio.  His weekly radio program offers a unique look at the real lives of citizens of this often volatile, yet noteworthy, region of the world.  His real-life interviews with both Arabs and Jews offer listeners a fresher and fuller picture than the limited two-dimensional view often presented by the news media.
