Business Networking Center Launches Entrepreneurial Startup Workshops

A group of well-respected Wake County business leaders are collaborating with the Business Networking Center (BNC) in presenting a brand-new educational workshop series to help fledgling entrepreneurs transition from their current situation to running their own successful and profitable businesses in a down economy.

Rescheduled from January 20 due to inclement weather, the first in a series of “Out of the Cubicle and Into Business™” full-day workshops at the BNC in Cary will take place on Tuesday, February 17 from 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., with pre-registration available online at www.Outofthecubicle-intoBusiness.com. This workshop is intended for individuals starting new businesses or taking over existing ones; franchise purchasers; entrepreneurs with an idea; retirees; and laid-off employees, in addition to anyone thinking about starting their own business.

“The Triangle is full of talented professionals with entrepreneurial spirit, if not the know-how to build a successful business,” said Tim Moore, one of the workshop presenters and president of Dancing Elephants Achievement Group. According to Moore, existing State and Federal agencies provide a mixture of information on starting a business, but nothing comprehensive to address the full spectrum of operational, accounting, legal, and sales and marketing considerations.

“What we’re trying to do is provide direct access to talented professionals who can lead entrepreneurs step-by-step on the do’s and don’ts of building a successful business,” Moore said.

Attendees at the February 17 workshop can expect hands-on exercises led by business leaders and consultants from Dancing Elephants, F.O.C.U.S.™ Resources, and Marketing Depot USA. The interactive workshop will provide attendees with real world, practical information on business structures, operations, accounting and business development delivered through personalized instruction in addition to complementary CD and print materials.
