In 2003, jewelry designer and guitarist, Darren Simonian, aka Sonny D, created the first wrap-around style guitar ring. “I designed the first wrap-around acoustic style for myself as I could not find anything close to what I was looking for. I would wear it to all my gig’s and everybody wanted one”. Since then I have designed a unique line of guitar rings that are becoming more and more popular with celebrities and Musicians alike. Each piece is carefully handmade and can be custom adorned with your favorite gems or jewels. Every ring comes with a certificate of authenticity that is signed and dated by the Designer. Darren Simonian was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and has been playing guitar for the last 30 years. He picked up the instrument when guitar gods and heroes reigned and has been inspired ever since. He has played with a number of well-known musicians and traveled around the US playing all the cool venues. Guitars and music quickly became an obsession and before he knew it he had an extensive guitar collection. "I think it was the various shapes of the guitar bodies and their subtle curves that reminded me of a women's figure which caught my eye." The musicians love for music and a passion for creating jewelry are what inspired him to design and create the first "wrap around style guitar ring". Darren's collections of different styles of guitar rings have become increasingly popular and are sold around the world. The designer is not limited to music oriented jewelry exclusively; he has also created two additional jewelry product lines.
