LONDON England - Workhaven Scotches £35m Takeover Rumours
LONDON England - Workhaven, the popular international recruitment website company has denied rumours that it has turned down a £35m takeover offer.
Said Workhaven Director Bruce Medhurst, "It has been suggested to us that rumours have been circulating concerning the independence of Workhaven. I can categorically state, without reservation, that contrary to such rumours, Workhaven's Board of Directors has not been approached with and turned down an offer to buy Workhaven from its current shareholders. All of Workhaven's clients, both candidates and employers, may rest assured that Workhaven plans to remain independent and continue to provide the high quality of confidential service they have become accustomed to".
Unlike most recruitment facilities, Workhaven does not accept job advertisements but allows employers to set up on-line dialogues with potential candidates and in effect head hunt them. The facility is free to candidates and paid for by employers.
Candidates register with Workhaven to be head hunted, employers register with Workhaven to search the online candidate database and head hunt candidates.
Workhaven Limited - is a privately held company incorporated in April 2004 to provide an online facility allowing employers to locate both active and passive job seekers. Workhaven has proved especially popular with professionals wishing to make themselves available to the jobs market place without jeopardising their current employment.
