Lust & Gore Hardwear Aims To Add More Metal To Music's Biggest Night™

Rollergirl owned and operated business, Lust & Gore Hardwear, is looking to bring attitude from the roller derby track to the talent Gift Bags for the 51st Annual GRAMMY® Awards.

Jan. 14, 2009 - PRLog -- Phoenix, AZ—December 26, 2008—Celebrity Presenters and Performers at the 51st Annual GRAMMY® Awards will find some tough love in the form of Lust & Gore Hardwear's hardware-heavy military caps featured among the luxury gifts they'll receive during GRAMMY week.  These weathered caps are hand-customized with studs, nails, screws, nuts, and chain, making them heavy on attitude.  Lust & Gore Hardwear is excited to have the opportunity to share their metal-clad styles with celebrities who have the confidence to rock them.

Along with military caps, Lust & Gore Hardwear (www.lustandgorehardwear.com) owners, Aurora Gory Alice and Lusty Crush, also customize cowboy hats and make original jewelry designs.  They chose cowboy hats, military caps, and jewelry to build their business around because these are items that, even unaltered, inherently have attitude and personality. Lusty and Aurora saw these items as good platforms to deliver a real kick-in-the-teeth shot of badass.  There is no subtlety, no whispering cool, or quiet confidence with Lust & Gore Hardwear.  That's not the point.  At Lust & Gore Hardwear, the mission is to make personalized hats and original jewelry that will be seen and envied.  "Lust & Gore products don't hint at who you are, they scream," says Lusty.  Aurora adds, "If you're wearing Lust & Gore and people aren't staring, it's because they're scared."  This is probably true. Their products are aesthetically stimulating without being all-together comforting.   They say "Look at me," while, at the same time, growl "What are you looking at?"

The story behind Lust & Gore Hardwear is as rock 'n' rollergirl as the products they make. Lusty Crush and Aurora Gory Alice are a product of roller derby.  Picture, if you will, a hot summer day at a roller rink in Albany, New York.  That is where they first laid eyes on each other.  The attraction was instant, and it wasn't long before Lusty and Aurora were inseparable.  Tired of the stifling rules of their derby league and the long Northeast winters, Aurora and Lusty packed up their stuff and headed to Phoenix, Arizona, home of the original, no-rules Renegade Rollergirls and plentiful sunshine. On the long trip West, the idea for Lust & Gore Hardwear was born.

Lusty and Aurora have no doubt that Gift Bag recipients at the 51st GRAMMY Awards have what it takes to pull off a Lust & Gore military cap.  Truth is, they have been looking for a celebrity or two to don their hats since they began the business back in July of this year.  So, when Distinctive Assets contacted them to contribute to their legendary GRAMMY Gift Bags, Lusty and Aurora accepted without hesitation.  "We simply broke it down," says Aurora.  "It's music's biggest night.  There will be hundreds of musicians, and these Gift Bags are a well-deserved media feeding-frenzy.  As huge music lovers, and the number one fans of Lust & Gore Hardwear, the decision to do this was a no-brainer."

The 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards will air live on CBS from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 8, 2009, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
