New Novel Offers Intense Storyline of Politics, Power and Family

Bloomington, IN [January 5, 2009]—  Thousands of years after the most advanced civilization lived openly together, its members have dispersed throughout society, playing out political struggles while living among a human population that is not aware of their presence. This ancient group, known as the Structure, is facing a great dilemma: their leader, the Oracle, is nearing the end of her life. Her approaching death has stirred up a battle over who will replace her. Holbrook’s heroine, Olivia “Ollie” Mason, is thrust into the middle of the controversy and finds herself running from these power-hungry people to protect her family.

Augustus Granger, the one truly deserving of the role, plays a vital part in Ollie’s situation as well.

Ollie also has a secret link with a dark sect of the Structure called Moon, which is known for its suspicious energy and dark intentions. She has developed her dark powers, passed down to her through her birth mother, who was killed because of her link with the shadowy group. When Ollie’s secret comes to light, the one thing most precious to her – her family – is threatened.
