Cox and Kings voted India’s number one brand; 152 in the first 1000 across Asia Pacific

Jan. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- Cox and Kings, the 250-year-old travel brand has been voted as The Number One Brand in India. This is a huge achievement as it is not just comparing other travel companies but across all brand categories.

The ranking is based on a survey co-funded by Media magazine and conducted by research agency TNS. It covered Australia, China, India, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand to determine the top 1000 brands in the Asia. In the Asia Pacific region Cox and Kings was voted 152 amongst the top 1,000 brands.
The survey covered 12 major product and service categories. Alcohol and cigarettes, financial services, automotive, health, retail, food, beverage, cameras and electronic goods, personal/business equipment and services, media and telecommunications, travel and leisure, baby products/household products/toiletries and cosmetics among others.
Two questions were asked to determine the best brands in each of the various categories covered in the survey.
(a)   When you think of the following (product/services), which is the best brand that comes to mind? By best, means the one that you trust the most or the one that has the best reputation.
(b)   Apart from the brand that you just mentioned which brand you consider to be the second best brand in the category.
The results were weighed to the population composition of the markets covered within the survey areas to provide a representative cross-section of society.  Cox and Kings scored over more established brand names and we are proud of it.

The results of this survey comes close on the heels of another accolade where Cox and Kings was voted amongst the top ten  tour operators by Conde Nast Traveller in 2008.
