Jan. 5, 2009 - PRLog -- For several months, the girls from The Academy at Sisters have entertained the residents of Awbrey House, an assisted living facility in Bend, Oregon. The Academy girls have been engaging the residents with a variety of activities ranging from playing bingo, doing crafts, reading books, giving manicures to singing and dance performances.

“The residents are really insightful and nice to talk to,” says Lizzie, an Academy student. Andie, another Academy student stated, “I’ve grown to love all of them!”

It has been a very rewarding experience for the teenage girls at the Academy, as well as for the residents of Awbrey House. "The girls are always excited to see their friends, and have developed close relationships with many of the residents. They are all learning so much,” explained Janice Cummings, Academy Activities Coordinator.
