New Online Store for Pregnancy and Baby launched in Spain

Company creators Samantha Sintes and Lesley Rey met shortly after having their daughters in Spain nearly two years ago. As two British mothers living in Spain they quickly realised that there were many pregnancy and baby products which were simply not available to buy in Spain. The only way to obtain these products was to ask family and friends to bring them out on visits or stock up on them during trips abroad. They realised other mums had the same needs and  so having ‘found’ this gap in the market decided to fill it!!

The girls are keen to point out that their aim is not to critisize Spanish baby products. "The Spanish baby shops are great and have some lovely products. Our aim is not to compete with them but to offer something completely different that can exist side by side with the Spanish shops. Because we are offering different products we also hope that we can appeal to Spanish and European mums as much as to the British population in Spain" explains Samantha Sintes.

In addition Indybel also organise Baby Showers and product parties and will shortly be launching a baby gift registry on the site. Who are Indybel?

Indybel is created and owned by Samantha Sintes and Lesley Rey. The company is named after their daughters Isabella and India who were the inspiration behind the idea.
Formally Samantha worked as a television researcher and then producer in both Manchester and London. Her career spanned over ten years and was mainly based in the entertainment and factual entertainment fields working for channels including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky as well as independent companies such as Endemol and Hat Trick. After moving to Spain in 2003 Samantha worked in local radio, television and marketing before marrying and having her daughter in late 2006.

Lesley has worked as a British Airways stewardess for the last nine years, prior to that her most enjoyable employment was as a purser on Princess Cruise Lines for four years. In 1993 whilst studying Beauty Therapy and Aromatherapy, Lesley discovered a passion for natural products and worked for the English herbalist store Culpeper in Liverpool. Today she hopes to bring this passion for natural living to the Indybel Organic store. After many years of travelling Lesley now lives in Spain with her husband, daughter and bump!
