Three Homeless Dogs Saved My Husband's Life

Jan. 2, 2009 - PRLog -- 1 month after we were married, my husband was diagnosed with a terminal illness. For the next few months, he just layed around waiting to die. He had an appointment to keep downtown and found three starving, homeless dogs. He brought them home. From that moment on, his will to live was renewed. These three dogs gave my husband a purpose again. He is now in remission. Because of these three dogs, I founded a non profit animal shelter and wrote a book titled, "Tails" From The Alamo. It is a true story based on the lives of these three dogs and how they survived on the streets before my husband brought them to their forever home. Our shelter is called The James Arthur Petree Animal Refuge Center, named for my husband. The three dogs are Einstein, Milo and Cinnamon. We are currently petitioning Walt Disney to make a movie based on this true story of courage, heartache and triumph.
