Revolutionary System in Credit Card Processing for Taxis

Dec. 14, 2008 - PRLog -- Credics Technologies Ltd. and RT Spain have cooperated in setting up one of Europe’s first Credit Card processing platforms for metropolitan taxis.   This innovative program launched simultaneously in both Barcelona and Luxembourg is one of Europe’s first, and promises to pave the way for rapid expansion throughout the continent.

The system works through the installation of new hi-tech POS machines inside the taxis which function both as a taxi meters as well as credit card readers.  Once the passenger arrives at his destination, the driver can process the card through the machine and receive on-line verification within a few seconds.  The POS meter is connected with the authorization center via advanced wireless technology.  The Credics patented billing platform then quickly dissects the transaction using its Rules-Based Engine solution and the taxi company is quickly credited the amount directly into its account.

The system so far has received great feedback, with taxi drivers enjoying the benefit and security of having to carry less cash, and passengers enjoying the convenience of credit card payment.
