In the age of modernism and technology, science industries provide critical guidance in the direction societies must take. It is in this current climate of scientific advancement and discourse that Ho-Young Park is serving in a key role as the Director of the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience & Biotechnology (KRIBB).

With its focus on excellence in bio-technology and building up national bio-infrastructure, KRIBB was created with the founding of the Genetic Engineering Center in South Korea in February 1985. In March 1995 the name was changed to KRIBB, and in May 1999 the KRIBB became an independent organization under the Korea Research Council of Fundamental Science and Technology (KRCF). Ho-Young Park’s leadership, experience, and professionalism have been a fundamental aspect of the continued excellence and singularity of purpose of KRIBB’s current structure.

Having earned a Ph.D. from Seoul National University, Ho-Young Park’s scholarship and success in the academic realm infuse his professional life with a definite tone of ambition and intellectual vigor.

When not hard at work leading one of Asia’s most influential biotechnology research organizations, Ho-Young Kim enjoys reading and traveling.
