By: Neturf Limited Arbor Custom Homes is making a difference with their 9 neighborhoods around the metropolitan areas by having donation barrels for the food drive at each of their neighborhood model homes. As well, this weekend two of their neighborhoods are having a special Pictures with Santa event. Parents can have their child's picture taken with Santa for free. Arbor Custom Homes and Fireside are happy to have Santa come to two Arbor neighborhoods for photo opportunities. There will also be a donation box for the 8th Annual Great Holiday Food Drive which helps families in need this holiday season. All non-perishible food will be gratefully accepted. Join Santa at these two neighborhoods: Arbor Oaks December 6th from 12pm-3pm 16739 NW Vetter Drive Portland, OR 97229 503.716.8412 Arbor at Villebois December 7th from 12pm-3pm 29245 SW Charlotte Lane Wilsonville, OR 97070 503.582.0472 Other business with multiple branches or locations participating are: - All Portland & Salem area Oregon Community Credit Union Branches - Portland area America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses In all, there are 30 locations and various businesses around the Portland-Salem metropolitan areas collecting donations for this event. Those wishing to donate and help fight hunger are urged to visit their local donation drop site and donate canned food goods. A full list location drop sites can be found online at http://www.food- Over the last 7 years, the Annual Great Holiday Food Drive has raised over 64,305 lbs of food for Oregon Food Bank Network. Each year the donations raised steadily grow. Last year with help and support from the Portland & Salem communities, the Great Holiday Food Drive raised the equivalent of 11,739 lbs of food for the hungry here in the Portland-Salem Metro area of Oregon. This was an increase of 10% in donations over prior year totals! The goal this year is to increase donations by another 10% and raise over 12,915 lbs!
