Cold Frames with wooden raised beds

Nov. 28, 2008 - PRLog -- Access Garden Products have been manufacturing their unique range of Cold Frames for over 50 years. As a compliment to the Cold Frames they have introduced timber raised bases.

The Access Cold Frame has sliding toughened glass doors for easy access and easy ventilation. The frame is manufactured from high quality aluminium and carries a 25 year guarantee. Seed tray shelving and mist watering are an option.

Using a raised base warms the soil more quickly; improves drainage; and eliminates soil compaction. The raised base also reduces bending and makes weeding easier. The Cold Frame can easily be removed from the base if required. The bases are manufactured from sustainably sourced 1¼” pressure treated timber which is sanded, pre-cut and pre-drilled. For Alpine growers there is also the option of a slatted timber staging.

Cold Frames are a popular way of growing vegetables all year round – ideal for families concerned with rising food costs and the issue of food miles. Using an Access Cold Frame, vegetables can be planted earlier; will grow more quickly; and will produce larger crops.
