Using military supplied high density hardened armor plate, Keener Corporation conducted successful laser cutting, drilling, and bending tests over the past week. Based on laser and robotic testing, Keener Corporation technicians determined they can successfully fabricate a piece of complex military armor to exacting mil-spec standards from 4’x4’ sheet of high density hardened steel in less than 10 minutes.
There are thousands of welding shops and job shops across the nation but few can handle this type of manufacturing. Keener Corporation boasts five separate facilities totaling 120,000sf of manufacturing space and over 100 employees ready to begin production of military armor. “We are poised to meet the demands of the MRAP, FMTV, JLTV, ASV and supplemental armor upgrades for various military applications.
