Nov. 20, 2008 - PRLog -- A majority of cultures and societies in the world hold a value for sports as a part of their lifestyle. The definition of "sport" has evolved greatly over time with changes in human culture. A wide variety of different sports have continued to be accepted as athletes are constantly pushing the limits of their sports. But the specific sports I am talking about are popularly known as "action sports" or, originally referred to as "extreme sports" back in the 80's and 90's.

Action Sports were once quoted as "activities that ideologically or practically provide alternatives to mainstream sports and mainstream values". That is deep...but it actually makes some sense. Now let's all face it, eventually one day there will be "Mainstream Action Sports", and someone will push the limits even further to think of something else. Regardless, it will continue to evolve and evolve until the end of time. And that is where www.RIPculture.com gets its name, from the "evolution of action sports in our culture".

The website is for people who love expanding the potentials of 'sport'. What is 'sport' to you? At www.RIPculture.com our preference just happens to be Action Sports, but we respect all sports and activities. The point is to have a central point for riders and everyone else who is curious or expressive, or both, about the culture of action sports. Members can upload Videos, talk it up in the Forum, find the latest Contests and Concerts, and find the latest gear in the Gear Blog. Yes the Gear Blog...RIPculture.com is partnered with Vans, CCS, ProBoardShop.com, and TheHouse.com to help promote the latest and greatest of Action Sports gear. And they plan to acquire new partners and sponsors in the future.
Right now the site is focused on awareness and letting people know they can share their "RIPculture" at www.RIPculture.com.

Check it out
