Nov. 19, 2008 - PRLog -- Online shopping has many advantages - convenience, cost, range of products to name but three. One of the major obstacles however, when purchasing clothing, is choosing the right size. No matter how much technology develops, there is never going to be a time where we are going to be able to try on an item of clothing from the comfort of our own home. With that in mind, UKSoccershop have developed a detailed guide to helping choose the right size football shirt for your child, helping ensure that Christmas is not ruined by a wrong sized shirt.

When deciding what football kit to buy, the first thing we need to take into account is the age of your child, as that will determine what products are available. If your child is aged between 2-7, then you should look for kits which are called Little Boys or Mini Kits, priced at around £34.99.

The sizing varies from brand to brand, but in general in this range of kits a small will fit age 2-3, medium age 4-5 and large 6-7. Any variation from this would be noted on the product page. Mini kits comprise at least the shirt and shorts and sometimes the socks, although this varies depending on the brand.

If your child is in the bracket of 7-14, they are now into our junior football shirt range. We mark these products in the following format (ie. 08-09 Arsenal home - Kids). The sizes here are standard across manufacturers and go as follows.

Age 7-8 - Small Boys - chest size 26-28″.
Age 9-10 - Medium Boys - chest size 28-30″
Age 11-12 - Large Boys - chest size 30-32″
Age 13-14 - XL Boys - chest size 32-34″

Of course, not all children grow at equal speed but you should use the above ages as a guide to the approximate size your child needs and then adjust accordingly with reference to the chest size.

UKSoccershop (http://www.uksoccershop.com) operate a return policy which allows you to return any football shirt (as long as it has not been printed) for an exchange if you order the wrong size. As all items are held in stock, turnaround is quick and exchanges can be made in plenty of time for Christmas.
