Nov. 13, 2008 - PRLog -- Sabrina is like a virgin in the music business. But this new artist is storming into the industry head-first like a ray of light with her borderline pop and r&b infused songs.  Sabrina is releasing her single “Madonna’s Lust (The Unglamorous Life of The Material World)” and making it available as a free download sometime in December through her official myspace: MySpace.com/OfficialSabrinaMusic. Produced by hip-hop producer Ciscoe (Shade Shiest, Bad Azz), this song is unique in that it features different high-profile rappers in each of its different versions, such as the multi-platinum Mellow Man Ace (from Cypress Hill), Seven (Fontana/Universal Recording Artist) and more.

“This song twists and turns, you can’t quite figure out where it’s going, but I think it’s realistic to how things play out in the mind – we run after our so-called dreams and material things and it can become like an obsession…but we start to feel the effects of the chase when we realize we’ve been running after it for a while. It’s a hunger that can never be satisfied; at some point we’ve gotta slow down and face the reason for our momentum-- it all comes down to this line in the song, ‘Chasing these material things…is the icing icing my emotion pain.’” Sabrina says, adding “I think people like Madonna have helped to set a certain pattern of thinking in our heads; we’ve become material girls with limited personalities and morals that are only penciled in – but hey, at least we look good.”

Sabrina has a few things in common with Madonna -- who is twice her age -- from the one-word name to the geography of their hometown, as Sabrina comes from northern Indiana, only miles apart from Madonna’s home state of Michigan. 2008 has found both singers in a desolation of marriage, Madonna who is currently in the process of a bitter divorce battle with husband Guy Ritchie, and Sabrina whose 3 ½ year marriage ended late last year. Like a prayer, Faith is the center of these two artists with contrasting beliefs – Madonna is a devout follower of Kabbalah and Sabrina a devout Christian -- but the biggest differences between them are the values engrained in them. After releasing her first album in 1983 – the year Sabrina was born – Madonna appeared on American Bandstand and was asked by Dick Clark what her aspirations were, to which she replied, “To rule the world.” Madonna has since succeeded in selling over 200 million records worldwide.

Sabrina recently had a chance to interview major label artist Shontelle (SRC Records/Universal Motown) with Jonathan Hay and Chad Kiser for A Woman’s Touch series on Dubcnn, the west coast news network. Sabrina asked the question: “Good or bad, is Madonna an inspiration for your career?” to which Shontelle replied: “Madonna and ‘bad’ should never go together in the same sentence! I love her music and she has managed to stay relevant for so long in a game where women especially don't often have a very long shelf life. I am definitely inspired by her. She is also a brilliant and dynamic performer and she is great! I aspire to be as successful and influential as she has been.” Sabrina has her own personal answer to that question, saying “I think it’s sad that so many of us have looked up to Madonna since we were little girls. Madonna sold her soul to rule the world…” Sabrina says, “Now we’ve only got four minutes to save it.”

Desperately seeking Sabrina – the camera loves her – and this once beautiful stranger is becoming known from being featured on the Nappy Roots single “Election Day,” which was featured in such press titans as Vibe Magazine, Allhiphop, Hiphopdx, BallerStatus, SOHH, Loud, and many more. More than just a singer, Sabrina is an entrepreneur and has a successful company, Urbanista Graphix, Inc. who created the cover art for “Madonna’s Lust (The Unglamorous Life of the Material World).” This controversial cover art is sure to raise eyebrows and embarrass Madonna when it’s made available to the public.

A superstar in the making, Sabrina expresses herself with dignity and class, well-representing Audrey Hepburn’s character in the 1954 classic movie Sabrina, whom she was named after. And along that same vintage theme line is her song “Love Me Again” which was inspired by Jackie Onassis, wife of John F. Kennedy, available now at myspace.com/OfficialSabrinaMusic.

These songs are being released courtesy of Hoopla Media Group LLC. Hoopla Media Group, who currently represents many multi-platinum and major-label artists alike, was started by childhood friends Jonathan Hay and Chad Kiser, who recently formed an alliance with the Core DJ’s, the number one and most-popular DJ service in the world.
