Ninth Page-Turning Novel By Shirley Eskapa
Nov. 9, 2008 - PRLog -- In A Naked Place by Shirley Eskapa is published in hardback by Quartet, priced £15. Available now via and bookshops.

This novel about adultery in a very posh area of London was written by an author who possesses deep insight into the pain and complexity of love.

It is Shirley Eskapa's ninth novel and her first since 1995. Her fans will welcome her overdue return to the literary scene.

Here she tells the story of a torrid affair between Lily Lidbury, headmistress of an exclusive girls's day school in Belgravia, and Benton Anderson, the married father of one of her pupils.

Lily is divorced and had been celibate for a decade before embarking on the affair. The relationship is complicated by the fact that Benton's young daughter Savannah strongly resembles Lily's daughter, who was savaged to death by a Rottweiler.

This dramatic story, set against a background of luxurious living, provides a salutary reminder that the very rich do suffer just as much emotional and mental anguish as the rest of us.
