Atlanta, GA (November 6, 2008) – The Nu Lambda Omega Foundation of Nu Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is pleased to present its annual holiday fundraiser, “Pink Pizzazz: An Evening of Motown” on Saturday, November 15, 2008. A celebration of music and culture, this swank event helps to raise scholarship funds toward the chapter’s Academic Scholarships and Community initiatives.  

“Our annual formal fundraiser will benefit our foundation’s scholarship efforts,” says Jean Hickman, President of the Nu Lambda Omega Chapter. This worthy cause will benefit twenty high school students to attend college in 2009. State Farm Insurance is the presenting sponsor for this worthy cause.

“We invite the metro Atlanta community to kick off its holiday season in class and style by joining us as we present ‘An Evening Motown’ which features a performance by the NEONS,” says Hickman.

The NEONS is a cosmopolitan of classic Motown sound, infused with 70’s funk & 80’s disco flavor combined! From the Temptations to Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5 to the Gap Band and Boyz II Men, the NEONS provide a perfect mix of old school & contemporary R&B tunes guaranteed to be a good time.

This black-tie affair will be held Saturday, November 15, 2008 from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel at Atlanta Hartsfield Airport.  Tickets are $55.00 per adult and $550 for table reservations of 10+ persons.
