Nov. 3, 2008 - PRLog -- KAYSVILLE, UTAH  – Tax preparers nationwide have accepted the Tax Hero Challenge and are gearing up for the fourth and final round for the title of Tax Hero. TaxWorks started its last session of the Tax Hero contest on November 1st. All tax preparers start afresh with an equal opportunity to prove they are America’s #1 tax preparer. Tax Preparers who legally calculate the biggest refund during the contest period will win an iPod® touch.

The contest is divided into four two-month contest periods. At the beginning of each period, tax professionals download the client profile from the Tax Hero Challenge Web site. They then enter the client data into a demo version of the TaxWorks software. Five tax preparers will win an iPod® touch for each contest period.

“So far the contest has been a success and winners have done a terrific job working through the profile provided,” said Lynn Tenney, director of communications at RedGear Technologies. “They have also had a fun time and have been very pleased with the TaxWorks program,”

For November and December, the client is Ronny the Salesman. Ronny sells a variety of products for different companies, including Nuts and Bolts Inc. He’s employed by some companies, and is an independent for others. He’s also a part-time student.
Register and receive a Tax Hero Challenge kit, which includes a 2007 TaxWorks software demo. Download Ronny the Salesman’s client profile and review the contest rules and regulations at www.taxherochallenge.com. Put your tax skills to the test. You deserve some recognition.
