Get Your Skate On For Festive Fun
SOME of the hottest tickets in town are now available for Swansea's coldest Christmas attraction. The ice-rink is returning to the grounds of the National Waterfront Museum from November 22 to January 4.
People looking to guarantee their places on the ice-skating rink at Waterfront Winterland now have the chance to do so.
The ice-rink is returning to the grounds of the National Waterfront Museum from November 22 to January 4 and tickets starting from just £5 have been made available online at http://www.waterfrontwinterland.com or from Swansea's Tourist Information Centre on Plymouth Street.
Waterfront Winterland will also include the 44-metre Admiral giant wheel, Santa's Grotto, a funfair area, a traditional carousel and live entertainment.
Last year saw 115,000 people visit the attraction.
Cllr Graham Thomas, Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism, said: “Christmastime is all about spending time with family and friends and Swansea’s Waterfront Winterland is a great way of incorporating this into a great day or evening’s entertainment.
"The festive atmosphere and variety of events throughout the six weeks makes it a great destination for all ages.
"People can always take the chance of just turning up to skate without booking but last year, particularly between 6pm and 7pm, the ice was very busy so I'd encourage people to book to guarantee their place on the rink.
"And with the city centre on the attraction’s doorstep, it’s easy to combine a trip to Waterfront Winterland with a few hours shopping too."
Waterfront Winterland is sponsored by Admiral and is kindly supported by the Evening Post, The Wave and Swansea Sound.
