FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JAPANESE GOES PINOY JAZZ! AT “THE JOY OF JAZZ CONCERT” FEATURING AISAKU YOKOGAWA AND STELLA IGNACIO ON NOVEMBER 17 AT 7TH NOTE.

The 7th Note Bar and Restaurant (Malugay st., Makati City) invites you to a night of pure stunning jazz! “The Joy of Jazz” Concert, is an event that takes a spotlight on the local jazz scene here within Manila. Featuring artists that are still unknown to the major music scene, the concert features both the new faces and the veterans in a form of a “Jamming Session”.

Aisaku Yokogawa (22 yr.), a Japanese male vocalist is also a new face in the local jazz scene who also took part in this year’s Philippine International Jazz Festival. A pure Japanese, yet he sings standards translated by Pete Lacaba (composer/writer) in Tagalog. A very unique combination it is. What makes it more special is the presence of Ms. Stella Ignacio, a recording artist and a jazz vocalist that has been on the major scene in the long run. With a wide vocal range and a deep sense of creativity, she can sing any standard making it her own. Truly a brilliant artist!

The show will spotlight on these two acts featuring standards in a different style. Scatting, bebop, and instrumental adlibs and all that Jazz! (Piano: Nazian Aaron, Bass: Abing Lavapiz, Drums: Benzon Ang, Saxophone: Lorry Zamora).

To lighten up the evening, a special guest will enchant everyone with her soothing voice, Ms. Girl Valencia, another recording artist known of her wide appearance in the music scene. She is also the composer of "Tanging Mahal" which was performed by Regine Velasquez. And another surprising guest, a ‘legend’ in the local jazz scene, Mr. Edgar Avenir also referred to as “Koyang” (Jazz Guitarist) will join the later part of the evening to jam with the group! And yes, we have more big artists to perform as guests in the show! A must catch to see these live performance in a row!

The event takes place on November 17, 2008 at 7th Note Bar and Restaurant (G/F Makati Golf Club, 7232 Malugay St., Bgy. Bel-Air, Makati). Show starts at 8PM. Tickets are available at P250.00 per head (w/1 free drink). For further information and ticket reservations, CALL OR TEXT (+63)921-7896710 or send email to aisaku@sf7.so- net.ne.jp .
