"Dream Katcher” Teaches Others To Party On Purpose

Many women question their instinct to pursue their dream, but following your dream can drive you to your purpose. Rick Warren’s best selling book, The Purpose Driven Life has inspired the lives of many who recommitted themselves to do just that –Pursue Purpose! There are many testimonies of women who have changed their course midstream to follow God’s leading including, a local “Dream Katcher”.

WARNING: THIS IS NOT YOUR MOTHERS BIBLE STUDY! Bible study just got a little more interesting thanks to Kristy Daniels-Jackson.  With her book, “Girlfriends & God,” Jackson provides a year’s worth of themed devotionals, menus, music, crafts and outreach opportunities for women’s bible or fellowship meetings. One such theme is “I’m Every Woman,” which honors the virtuous women within. It includes a thank you card project dedicated to personal “Sheros” and community outreach that calls for groups to attach short prayers to roses and hand them out during prayer walks in their respective communities. Jackson has also created invitations, apparel, and a worship CD, “Worship in Your Presence”, as companions to the book.

The idea for the book came after years of journaling while reading the book, The Purpose Driven Life. Jackson believes, “God created an unexplainable bond within the sisterhood of women. Sisterhood promotes acceptance, support and understanding. This book will save hours of planning time and allow women to spend more time in fellowship with their Girlfriends & God.”  Future plans include women’s conferences, mentoring programs, and a magazine.

With a career in education, new book, growing special event business, Dream Katchers, and a family, Jackson’s days are always eventful. She says, “It’s a lot of fun and a lot of work, but I am passionate about fulfilling God’s plan for my life by any means necessary.                                                      Kristy Daniels-Jackson

Kristy Daniels-Jackson has a passion for serving God, education and contributing solutions to problems.  In 2000, Kristy “retired” from her role as a gifted classroom teacher in the St. Louis Public Schools to continue her education by pursuing a Masters in Teaching (MA.T) and an Education Specialist Degree (ED.S) in Leadership and Administration from Webster University in St Louis, MO.  Kristy has since returned to the classroom. She has been a gifted teacher of the WINGS program in the Webster Groves School District for the past 3 years.

Coming from a family of educators and musical artists, Kristy easily found her niche in consulting.  Kristy and her husband James, developed Dream Katchers, an event planning and consulting firm in 2004. Due to the diversified nature of Dream Katchers, the company designs a range of special events and consults in various areas, including spiritual development, education, and talent development. While charting the entertainment careers of their own children, she saw the need to fill the void of diverse models in the industry and guide others with integrity along the entertainment path to "katch their dream". A few of their most noted clients are the Casino Queen, Stages St. Louis, Variety Children’s Charity, and Anheuser-Busch.  In 2005, Kristy published her first curriculum called the "Captain MAP" testing program that MO schools use to teach testing strategies for the Missouri Assessment Program.

A Native of St. Louis, MO, Kristy has served alongside her husband, James A. Jackson, II, in ministry for the last 8 years. They have worked with a variety of ministries in the St. Louis area including Joyce Meyer’s St. Louis Dream Center, Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church (Rev. Sammie Jones), St. Luke Memorial (Dr. Jimmy L. Brown), and Grace Church St. Louis (Pastor Ron Tucker). They are the founders of Shared Ministries, a Christian organization focusing on outreach and uniting the body of Christ.

The accomplishment that Kristy is most grateful for is her role as a wife and a mother. Kristy has been married to James A. Jackson, II, an accomplished minister, drummer, and music producer, for 10 years. They have two daughters and the newest member of their family is a loving Shih Tzu, B.J.

Kristy feels very blessed by God to be able to follow her dreams. She in turn desires to be a vessel to help others follow dreams of their own.
