Follow on Google News | Planet Ink Club backs government proposal to cut carbon emissions by 80%Following a drive by the Committee on Climate Change, Gordon Brown has signalled that he will accept a revised target of an 80% cut in carbon emissions by 2050.
By: Planet Ink Club If these targets are to be made a success, the government can not solely be relied upon, it has been stated. Planet Ink Club is striving to help the general public via recycling without making major changes to their lifestyles. The acclaimed printer ink recycling company revealed 375 million empty cartridges are dumped each year as only 5% of cartridges are recycled despite the fact that the plastics used to make them take over 1,000 years to decompose. Planet Ink Club, for a small monthly fee, provides a unique green service for home consumers which recycles and refills their customers' cartridges with quality ink whenever they are empty. Rather than the customer having to buy new cartridges, the old set can be reused delivering quality prints time and time again therefore greatly reducing the cost to the customer and the irreparable damage to the environment. John Chyriwsky, Marketing Manager of the Planet Ink Club said: "While any positive changes to government environment targets are welcome, we believe that real change must come from real people. "At Planet Ink Club we firmly believe everyone has an active role to play in helping and protecting the environment. Our aim, with the help of the customers, is to recycle as many ink cartridges as possible. This simple action can and will make a difference." # # # Planet Ink Club (http://www.planetinkclub.com) are firmly committed to creating products which reduce impact on the environment, whilst delivering real value and quality for our customers.
