Oct. 22, 2008 - PRLog -- Kennesaw, GA – From Oct. 26 through Nov. 1, the Bathroom Blogfest regroups for the third year to focus on the customer experience. During Bathroom Blogfest ’08 – Cleaning Up Forgotten Spaces Around Us, women bloggers in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. will share observations about the effect of bathrooms and other forgotten spaces on the customer experience.

The Bathroom Blogfest began in 2006 as the brainchild of Stephanie Weaver, Experienceology author and consultant, and Susan Abbott, a business consultant and consumer researcher in Toronto. Last year’s Blogfest featured posts on such diverse topics as Disney Land, family-owned businesses, bus stations and better automatic flushers. This year, the theme has been expanded to include all forgotten spaces including entry ways, changing rooms, or any spaces that affect the customer experience but aren’t accorded the attention they deserve.

“We are excited about expanding the Bathroom Blogfest theme to include those other forgotten spaces in addition to bathrooms,” says Susan Abbott. “They all play a critical role in creating a customer experience – now more than ever.”

During Bathroom Blogfest ‘08, bloggers will post observations about the best and worst bathrooms and other forgotten spaces to answer how these spaces help support, or detract from, the customer experience. Participating bloggers include experts in marketing, customer service, customer experience, library sciences, life and bathrooms. They will post at least once during the Bathroom Blogfest and include the tag “#ladiesrooms08” in their posts, photos, videos and tweets.

Furthermore, participation for 2008 has been broadened to embrace all those with passion for the customer experience. “We have created an open Facebook event under Bathroom Blogfest,” says Christine Whittemore, director, in-store innovation, Wear-Dated carpet fiber (http://www.weardated.com) and blogger at Flooring The Consumer (http://www.flooringtheconsumer.blogspot.com) and the Carpetology Blog(http://www.carpetology.blogspot.com). “If you have a customer experience story that is relevant to Bathroom Blogfest ’08 – Cleaning Up Forgotten Spaces Around Us, please participate in the conversation. It can only make the event more vibrant and relevant for everyone!”
