New Pipeline Project to create Jobs, Jobs, Jobs

Western Energy, LLC., announced a new natural gas pipeline venture on Friday that underscores California and the Southwestern States surging reliance on natural gas with the need for new infrastructure and jobs.
California’s demand for natural gas is increasing everyday with new power generation plants coming on-line as well as residential use increasing sharply over the next 5 years.
California is at the end of the pipeline so to speak and the current pipelines are fully subscribed. New sources of natural gas to import via pipeline along with new infrastructure are needed for the state’s future development.
The Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach recently announced that 16,800 old diesel trucks will be replaced, and half of the new vehicles will run on alternatives such as natural gas.
Natural gas is our country's second largest energy resource and a vital component of our energy supply. 98% of the natural gas used in the United States is from North America.
Natural gas is one of the cleanest, safest and most useful forms of energy — residentially, commercially and industrially. The natural gas industry has existed in the United States for over 100 years and continues to grow.
Domestic natural gas reserves are twice that of petroleum. And new discoveries of natural gas and ongoing development of renewable biogas are continually adding to existing reserves.
The planned project will begin at the Waha Hub in West Texas then going north to New Mexico which will allow the pipeline to tie into other sources of natural gas. The route will take it thru West Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and ending at the Colorado River. This will allow the project to inter-connect with existing pipeline systems to carry the natural gas into the California market.
The estimated cost will be $1.9 Billion. The size of the pipeline will be 36”OD and will start with a 500 mcfpd capacity. The project is in the planning stages and Western Energy, LLC is currently talking to natural gas suppliers to line up agreements for the line. This project will take 4 years to design, permit and construct. It will create 7,000 jobs during construction and impact 45,000 jobs in 16 other states with contracts for the project. Western Energy, LLC said this is crucial for the US economy.
