Follow on Google News | Mai tai Bar & Grill at Arizona Hotel and Beach Resort Subic Bay Olongapo gets a face liftThe Mai Tai bar and Grill has recently been given a face lift and the results have been very impressive. The nipa style roof had to be replaced. We did away with the native materials and redesigned the area to fit the overall feel of the Resort
By: charles davis Better Weather Protection- The new roof has been very well accepted by our guest and staff. In conjunction with the redesign we extended the area of coverage. The roof now stretches to the edge of the pool which allows space for people to walk without getting wet while it is raining. The old design just covered as far as the bar stools. More Seating --The bar was shorten by about 5 feet. While we did lose two seats at the bar, it allowed us to add two tables under the roof. It also allowed us to improve the work flow behind the bar and with a door in the bar, that allows the staff better access to the guest. The Grill station was also removed. The station did have its benefits but its location limited it usefulness. Additional seating has been installed in its place. We will be doing a temporary grill something like a backyard bbq for peak season. Locals-- Mai Tai is becoming increasingly popular with people who live in the local area. We see an increasing number of locals coming in for lunch or bringing the family for dinner. It is also interesting that a number of foreigners who own restaurants locally are some of our best customers. We also have a dedicated local cliental at the Score Bar. Okay, we can not credit the new roof for this but it did help and the locals love it. We have added some photos of the new area on our web sites http://www.arizonaresorthotelsubic.com/ Arizona International Hotel and Resort is a charming, comfortable and friendly place to spend your Subic Bay area visit. The resort on its own beach in Barrio Barretto of Olongapo has 27 rooms. Each room is comfortably equipped with queen size bed(s), Cable television with a DVD player, mini-bar and in-room safe. The hotel's solar hot water system insures a more than adequate supply of hot water for your showers. The improvement in the NLEX and the new Subic- Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTex) brings Subic Bay and Olongapo much closer to Manila. Manila is now only two hours away, while Angeles City and the DMIA airport is about 45 minutes. The Low cost airlines flying into Clark's DMIA airport even allows visitors from Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and now Thailand to drop in for a week end getaway. http://www.seahorsetours.com # # # About Arizona international hotel: Arizona International Hotel inc owns and operates the Arizona internatioonal Hotel in Olongapo Philippines, located on subic bay End
