Winter City Special - $1,298 for an air-inclusive week in beijing or shanghai - from pacific delight tours

Sept. 26, 2008 - PRLog -- New York, Whether going for business, a family vacation, to shop till you drop, or take a peek at where all those gold medals were won, Pacific Delight Tours has made it easier with two air-inclusive, seven-day packages to Beijing and Shanghai, priced at $1,298 per person, double. These trips offer plenty of free time to get work done or take in the major highlights – Beijing's Tian An Men Square, the Forbidden City, treasure-filled Imperial Palace and the Great Wall, or the emporium-lined Huai Hai Road, the Shanghai Museum and the Jade Buddha Temple in Shanghai. Transpacific departures to Beijing are offered from more than 30 major U.S. cities with no add-on costs; to Shanghai, from San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York. These specially priced packages, available from Nov. 16, 2008 through Feb. 28, 2009, include accommodations at deluxe hotels, daily breakfast, transfers, hotel taxes, service charges and airline fuel surcharges, and $100,000 in flight insurance when overseas air reservations are ticketed by the company. Guests are welcome to extend their stay with one of the company's six-day city modules – for as little as $348 per person.
Guests on the Beijing tour stay at the Five Star Beijing Capital Hotel, set in the center of the city with easy access to a variety of sights, shops and restaurants. Sightseeing can be done independently or with optional excursions including "Beijing Full Day" – Tian an Men Square, Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven, with lunch ($54 per person); a tour by the same name that tours the Great Wall, Ming Tombs, Changling Exhibition Hall and Sacred Way, with lunch ($69); and a Peking Duck Dinner with an evening show ($76).
In Shanghai, participants can stay at the Five Star Hua Ting Hotel & Towers, in the active Xu Jia Hui district, or the Regal International East Asia, set in the diplomatic district along Heng Shan Road. Both hotels allow for quick access to numerous sights as well as dining, shopping along Nanjing Road and night life. A walk along the European-styled Bund takes in the city's magnificent skyline and is a good start to five days of independent exploring or mixed with optional excursions such as a full day tour of Shanghai Museum, The Bund, Nanjing Road, Yuyuan Garden, with lunch ($43); a full day in the legendary garden city of Suzhou and cruise on the splendid Grand Canal, lunch included ($72); and a Chinese dinner with an acrobatic show as entertainment ($39).
Prices are subject to change. Blackout dates are Dec. 19-23 outbound and Jan. 2-7 inbound. Government-imposed taxes and fees, including the Sept. 11th Security Fee of up to $155, are additional.
