Sept. 23, 2008 - PRLog -- The Saturday Scarecrow Contest is fun to enter or to come to see.  First, at home, turn your broom upside down and turn it into a scarecrow, then bring to downtown Burlington Saturday for the 10 am contest. The scarecrow contest is followed by the Scarecrow Parade along the sidewalks of the downtown.

“This is such a fun and funny sight to see! Do bring your cameras and umbrellas,” said Judith Schulz, contest organizer.  Both adults and youth may enter the Scarecrow Contest to win prizes. As part of the contest, all entrants take part in the parade following the judging held in front of Teacher Place & Parent Resources, 533 Milwaukee Ave.

This is one of many fun and old fashion things going on during the second annual Apple Harvest Days in historic downtown Burlingon, Wisconsin. Music, bake sales, hopskotch, specialty shopping, museum tours, Log Cabin exhibits, apple treats and eats make it a great fall day for the family. Call (262) 763-3946 for details.  Scarecrow Contest Rules are posted online at www.burlingtonchamber.org   Photos from Apple Harvest Days can be seen at  http://www.topmuseum.org/48.html.
