Sept. 23, 2008 - PRLog -- After 23 years of writing manuals and procedure books for the army, Thomas Kaye knows well how to write a “how to” book, which provides accurate, up-to-date information and easy to follow step-by-step procedures. Now he has written a book using his experience to help new authors to write their first book and publish it taking advantage of modern technologies and the Internet.

“This book is a result of my 23 years of experience and my own research”, says 42 year-old author Thomas Kaye, “I thought about writing this book when I was compiling a few writing guidelines for my successor, since I’m close to my retirement. So, I started thinking about the easiest way to write and publish any book and not just army manuals and procedure books. My book ‘How to Write Books That You Will Be Proud to Sell’ contains strategies, information and tips to help any new author/writer to write and publish their first book which will actually bring them recognition and money.”

The author, Thomas Kaye, is actually using the tips and techniques described in his book to write, publish and promote it. “I am not used in writing things that can’t be implemented in real life procedures or make fake promises” says author Thomas Kaye, “I know the tips and strategies described in my book actually work since I have used and tested them for my own book.”

This book will show new authors how not to belong in 70% of authors whose books get returned be bookstores or have to wait 90 or more days to get paid. The book covers all major aspects of writing and publishing from deciding what to write about to marketing the final product. The reader will find guidelines to planning and performing research, planning the book outline, drafting, proofreading and editing as well as information and tips on Copyright and ISBNs, book marketing and promotion, use of modern technologies and establishing a successful web presence.

“It’s time for new authors to take matters into their own hands”, says Thomas Kaye, “and escape from the traditional publishing industry which exploits them and operates in an archaic and dysfunctional way. According to Forrester Research electronic book sales will grow to a 10 billion dollar market, so there is enough for everyone.”
