Tracer Announces New Audio Forensics Training Course

Tracer has announced their latest Audio Forensics Training Course, which will be held in Houston Texas from November 4-6 2008. This popular training focuses on all facets of Audio Evidence gathering and cleanup using the DC LIVE/Forensics software.

Sept. 16, 2008 - PRLog -- Tracer Technologies, creators of the popular DC LIVE/Forensics audio restoration and enhancement software have announced their Audio Forensics training schedule for 2008.  Local, state and federal law enforcement agents as well as private citizens in both the Forensics and legal fields have attended this intensive 3-day training course since its inception in 2000.

This training will offer attendees the first preview of the new DC LIVE/Forensics 8 available anywhere.   Our training staff will put the new system through its paces and answer questions on the product.

The training works from the ground up, with an intro to audio theory, noise filtering, speech enhancement and even correct handling and preservation of audio evidence is covered. The general emphasis is on speech recordings in the forensic arena, but related topics are also covered in the free discussion sessions that are held at the end of each day.
A great deal of the training will focus on recognition of noise elements and the correct filtering procedures to follow using the DC LIVE/Forensics software to remove them.  Each major filter in the program will be covered and numerous “hands-on” labs will be presented to apply the theories discussed.

“We wanted to present this training so that an average law enforcement professional could understand the concepts and make use of the tools quickly and easily”, said Curtis Crowe, president of Tracer Technologies.  “You won’t need a degree in physics to see impressive results and gain a firm understanding of the concepts we discuss over the training period”.
Attendees are even encouraged to bring tough audio files from the real world to the training courses in order to apply what has been learned directly to their on the job issues.

For an individual who may be starting a business in Forensics and wanting a chance to rub elbows with contacts working in this industry every day, this is a perfect friendly environment to meet such folks.

The training class is $859 for the full three-day session.  The final training sessions for 2008 is scheduled for November 4-6th in Houston, TX.   If you have interest in attending or receiving additional information on the Forensics training course, contact Tracer Technologies.
