Jan & Elly Launches Revamped Website

Sept. 13, 2008 - PRLog -- Jan & Elly has launched its new website, featuring a clearer and more concise description of the English courses available at their two schools in Singapore. The navigation links are now more organized, while the design and layout have become more search engine-friendly.

Jan & Elly primarily provides Phonics classes for kids between ages 4 to 6 years old. Phonics is an instructional method of teaching English using phonetic sounds, to help children speak the language more accurately. More information can be found at http://www.jan-elly.com/phonics-for-kids.php

The school also has an English PSLE class to prepare primary school students for both their PSLE written and oral exams. PSLE or Primary School Leaving Examination is a national exam sanctioned by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and taken by students on their sixth year in primary school. When asked, founder Elly Sim explained that the main objective of the revamp was to enable parents to easily find information about phonics courses for their kids. Phonics is still a relatively new subject in Singapore but nevertheless important, because it helps students have a firm grasp of spoken English from a young age. Fortunately, the awareness level is picking up judging from the discussions at parental forums, and interview requests from local children magazines and radio programs.
