Sept. 12, 2008 - PRLog -- The people of Haiti have been hit repeatedly this season by storms. Haiti has been hit by three storms in three weeks. Hundreds have been killed and thousands are now homeless and starving. Many families who survived the storm had to swim to safety and are now without food, clothing or shelter. Many have gone days without even clean water to drink. Many relief efforts are already under way to provide medical assistance, food, water, shelter and clothing. You can help in these efforts by looking for local relief efforts already underway in your area.

The Chapel of Saint Andrews, located in Boca Raton, Florida is organizing a local relief effort for storm victims in Haiti. We are asking our community to bring clothing in good condition to the church office starting immediately 10 am and 3 pm Mon-Fri. ending Sunday the 21st at 1pm.

For directions see our website at http://www.thechapelofsaintandrew.org/directions.html

Please attach your name and address and the estimated value of your contribution if you would like to receive a gift receipt for tax purposes.

Only clothes will be collected at this time, other opportunities are available through local charities for monetary relief efforts to provide food and shelter.

Here are a few additional websites that accept monetary donations for victims of the storms.
Emergency response appeal for Haiti is the first donation link posted on both websites.
