The Oregon High Desert Classics Get An Assist

Sept. 12, 2008 - PRLog -- The female students from The Academy at Sisters, http://www.academyatsisters.org,  volunteered in the Patrons VIP Tent for the two weeks of the Oregon High Desert Classics 19th Annual Horse Show, http://www.jbarj.org/ohdc/.  The horse show is the signature fundraising event for J Bar J Youth Services with all funds from the show going to support the programs of J Bar J.  

The students set the tables for the various functions, greeted guests, served elegant meals and helped clean up.  They spent many hours making sure everything was ready and looked perfect.  They also had time to watch the exciting events every day.  Guests commented on the smiles and service the girls provided at each and every event.

“I think this is a time for the girls to shine.  They are so enthusiastic about their jobs at the show.  I keep them busy but they are always upbeat and right on task.  They serve a three course meal with ease and are very good at interacting with the guests in a polite and cheerful manner.  I don’t think we could put the show events on without them.  A million thanks to all the girls who helped out.”  Pam Addington, Horse Show Coordinator
