Morris County 9/11 Remembrance Service

Sept. 11, 2008 - PRLog -- The Morris County 9/11 Memorial is a respectful tribute to the lives lost on September 11, 2001. Sixty-four residents of Morris County, NJ, were victims of 9/11.

The memorial is located on West Hanover Avenue, across from Morris View Healthcare Center in Parsippany, NJ, USA.

The memorial includes steel from the World Trade Center, debris from Flight 93 which crashed in Shanksville, Pa., including soil from the west wall of the Pentagon, where American Airlines Flight 77 crashed. The names of the victims who lost their lives on September 11 are engraved into paver stones which encircle the memorial.

During the remembrance service, I prayed quietly for the victims and families with the following words from Psalm 67: 2, "May God be gracious to us and bless us; may God's face shine upon us."

Soon after, the Lord guided me to Revelation 21: 3-5 with the following scripture, "I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Behold, God's dwelling is with the human race. He will dwell with them and they will be his people and God himself will always be with them as their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, for the old order has passed away.' The one who sat on the throne said, "behold, I make all things new." Then he said, "Write these words down, for they are trustworthy and true."

Please join in prayer for God the Father to bless our nation with healing grace and to usher in an era of peace through his divine son Jesus Christ.
