Screen, Inc. Appointed Official Sunscreen Sponsor of 2009 Junior Olympics

Sept. 10, 2008 - PRLog -- New facial sunscreen company Screen, Inc. has been selected as the exclusive sunscreen sponsor for the 2009 United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) Cross Country Ski Junior Olympics.

Hosted by the Auburn Ski Club and the Far West Nordic Ski Education Association, the event will be held March 7-15, 2009 in Truckee, California.

The USSA Junior Olympics are recognized and endorsed by the United States Olympic Committee and have been sponsored by the USSA as the premier junior championship tournament since the mid 1970s. Virtually all of USSA's Olympic and World Champions have participated in the USSA Junior Olympic program.

Athletically, the Junior Olympics is often the launch pad for junior athletes to achieve results and performance standards to gain invitations to U.S. Ski Team training camps or U.S. Ski Team international competition opportunities. The concept of “clear path” advancement is very important to the USSA professional and volunteer leadership. The Junior Olympics provide a perfect performance marker for young athletes who are emerging. In many cases, Junior Olympic medals will provide automatic advancement to higher-level competition.
