BFO Motorcycles launches the switch:BLADE - an exclusive edition of 100 motorcycles.

Sept. 9, 2008 - PRLog -- The switch:BLADE offers a tubular aluminium frame and swinging arm, together with carbon fibre bodywork throughout, and a host of precision machined components.

In addition, the machine comes complete with an instrument cluster from STACK, stainless steel brake lines, and all required accessories.

The idea behind the switch:BLADE is simple. It is available either as a build it yourself kit (Base Specification), or, should you prefer, a finished road legal motorcycle (Showroom Specification).

The kit requires a donor Honda Fireblade (model year 1992 - 1999) and a wide range of aftermarket options are available from companies such as Akrapovic, Dymag, and Ohlins.

The switch:BLADE has been styled by the internationally renowned stylist John Keogh, and all motorcycles are manufactured at the company premises in Coventry, England.

The switch:BLADE offers unrivalled feedback, with superb steering, a well balanced chassis and a power to weight ratio of 0.97.

The Base Specification is available from £7,499. Only 100 of the switch:BLADE will be produced.

Steve Atkins is a degree qualified mechanical engineer, with over ten years experience in the automotive industry. In recent years he has been heavily involved in the design and engineering of the current Aston Martin range of luxury cars.
