“Love To Read Connecticut Authors” theme of CAPA writers’ booth at the 2008 Big E

The Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association gears up to participate in the Big E, Sept. 12-28. Sixty-two authors will be on hand to discuss writing with visitors, and autograph books. Mark Twain will appear Sept. 17, Connecticut Day.

Sept. 7, 2008 - PRLog -- Avon, CT (August 12, 2008) – For the second year in a row, the Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association (CAPA) will showcase the works of its members during the upcoming Eastern States Exposition.

CAPA will operate a bookstore in the Connecticut Building – located along the Avenue of States – at the Big E, which runs September 12-28 at the Eastern States Exposition grounds in West Springfield, Mass. The Big E is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The CAPA booth will feature the works of more than five dozen Connecticut authors. Genres represented include: fiction, non-fiction, science fiction, mystery, young-adult fiction, children’s books, memoirs, biography, crafts, adventure, romance, cookbooks, travel, technology, sports, historical novels and poetry. In all, the event will feature 62 authors, with 115 individual titles on display.

CAPA’s theme this year is “Love to Read Connecticut Authors.” Look for their banner. The public is invited to stop by and browse the CAPA bookstore. Select authors will be on hand each day to autograph their books. There will be books to meet everyone’s taste in reading. On Connecticut Day (September 17), attendees will be treated to a special visit from Connecticut’s most famous author of all time: Mark Twain.
