Morton Grove - Illinois - US

Sept. 4, 2008 - PRLog -- This event was created to honor long-time Morton Grove resident Jack O'Brien, who was not only an avid golfer, but a long-time community volunteer and founder of the Action Party of Morton Grove. He also served as the village's electrical inspector and ran his own electrical contracting company for many years. One of Jack's crowning achievements (besides his loving family) was his work on the television transmission towers on top of the Sears Tower and the John Hancock buildings in Chicago.

For those interested in participating in event (whether golf, dinner or both), the fees are as follows:

Golf is $100 per person and includes golf cart and 2 beverage cart tickets.
Dinner is $30 per person. If purchased together, golf and dinner per person is $120.

Those interested in being a Hole Sponsor, that fee is $125 for new hole sponsors to advertise your name or business on an 18x24" sign. Anyone who sponsored a hole in 2007 can sponsor in 2008 for $100.

First tee time is 10:30 a.m. All golf tickets and hole sponsors are entered into a raffle with the 1st prize being a set of golf clubs. The dinner begins at 5:00 p.m at the Mount Prospect Golf Course (located at 600 S. See-Gwun Avenue in Mt. Prospect, IL 60056).

All proceeds will be used to benefit The Action Party of Morton Grove.

For tickets and/or tee times, contact Terri Cousar at (847) 771-2166 or (847) 638-2706.

Hole sponsors can fax artwork to Terri at (847) 295-9825 or via email to her at For more information about The Action Party of Morton Grove, please visit:

By striving to do what is best for the all of its citizens, the business community and the village at large still remains our primary goal! But what has changed from the Action Party of the past? The answer is simple, the people! Concerned residents who volunteer their time to help keep Morton Grove a place they are proud to call home (who are coming from many backgrounds and political viewpoints) are making their feelings known in our truly open, diverse and democratic organization (one that is truly representative of the many voices that make up today’s resident and business owner).
