PA Books announces the much anticipated suspense thriller Blood Don't Lie

Aug. 25, 2008 - PRLog -- This week marks the release of the much anticipated suspense thriller Blood Don't Lie by Maurice Woodon.  Blood don't Lie tells the story of Jerome Henderson, an everyday man who loves and adores his wife and child.  When he comes home and finds them missing, he calls the police and files a missing person report only to have the authorities accuse him of murdering his family.   Now a fugitive from the law, Jerome must find those responsible and discover the fate of the ones he loves.  What he doesn't know is that  everything that has transpired is tied into a secret that people will kill and die to protect.


Maurice Woodson, whom is best known for his exploits in the music industry as well as his experience writing for and his involvements in magazines such as NOMA Beauty Magazine, Essence, Spice Teen Music Magazine, Word Up, Right On, Class and Billboard, is ready to make his mark as the author of a new novel. However, this is not his first published book.  Woodson authored the celebrated non-Fiction Child Abduction: How To Protect Your Children, which is a survival guide that educates children and parents on the topic of child predators and abductions.  This was an important book to him because at age 9 he climbed into the back of a strangers car but luckily survived the experience.  He wanted to make sure his children and others never repeated his mistake.               

This time around Woodson tackles the world of fiction.  Blood Don’t Lie is a roller coaster of a thriller.  The Suburban Herald’s “book report” calls it “One of the best novels to come out in some time. Maurice Woodson’s characters are so real and believable that one would swear to have met one or two of them on line in the grocery store. Blood Don’t Lie kept me guessing all the way to the end and the surprise ending took my breath away.  It was truly so good that I couldn’t put it down.”   

The buzz in the industry is that Woodson is a literary star on the rise.  Even Hollywood has an eye on Blood Don’t Lie.  According to Hollywood insiders, 2 major production companies (both requested to remain anonymous) are looking at the novel for a possible movie adaption -- Which is amazing considering the novel doesn’t reach stores and book outlets until October 13th 2008.

When asked how he came up with the premise of the book, Woodson responded: “I had fallen behind in my child support and ended up going to jail for a short period of time and during the first couple of days, I was given a magazine to read to kill time and an article in that magazine sparked an idea that became the basis for the whole novel.  I won’t tell you the name of the magazine because I don’t want to take away from or spoil some of the surprises of the story, but it along with the fact that I always wanted to write murder mystery thriller led to me to create this novel that I am very excited about and proud of.
