Roller Derby in Manchester, NH has Resurgance

Aug. 11, 2008 - PRLog -- Manchester, NH -   ManchVegas Roller Girls (Roller Derby) will be recruiting new skaters and referees and volunteers.  This event will be held at 11AM on August 16th at the Boys and Girls Club in Manchester, NH located on the corner of Union and Lowell Sts.. Roller Derby has been in resurgence since 2001 when it re-formed as a similar but more refined sport than it’s roller derby predecessors from the 1960’s and 70’s.
It is uniquely different from all other sports as it is tailor made for women and is played exclusively on quad roller skates.  

Our goal is to run a safe, fun, professional roller derby league that allows New Hampshire woman of all ages, shapes and skill levels a chance to enjoy the sport of roller derby.  Competitive or recreational; our program provides regular supervised training and instruction to prepare all members to represent New Hampshire at local and national competitions.  We also strive to guide our members to provide community outreach through events, activities and charity sponsorship.  ManchVegas Roller Girls will promote and create goodwill by doing business locally with owner operated enterprises within New Hampshire.
