Aug. 11, 2008 - PRLog -- Waverley Glen is proud to have been selected to provide all lift services for the Veteran’s hospital in Lebanon Pennsylvania. Kevin Klipfeld, lift specialist and US ceiling lift director, led the Waverley Glen team. He had this to say about the project: “Personally speaking, it was inspiring to see efforts and money put into the advancement of safe patient handling for the U.S. Veteran and their caregivers; I was excited to be part of the initiative.”

Fulfilling a work order that includes 179 lifts, outfitting Lebanon’s VA hospital required adapting Waverley Glen’s equipment and expertise to the hospital’s complex list of needs: from safely lifting a patient in and out of a whirlpool, as well as a larger pool, to installing lifts in the hospital’s acute care and hospice facilities, to surgical rehab. There will even be a lift installed in the morgue. “Selecting the proper track layout for the facility was probably the most important thing to get straight,” Kevin commented, “our choice was a full ‘X-Y’ room covering system. This specific configuration allows us to accomplish all bed transfers tasks, fallen patient pick-up, repositioning and limb holding. Luckily, the hospital’s staff had a pretty firm idea what their needs were. That helps us a lot. They were a pleasure to work with throughout the project.”

Scheduled for an end of August completion date, Access Solutions of Buffalo New York are doing the installation. Charley Wallace, President of Waverley Glen is excited about the project. “The full Waverley Glen team worked hard to develop the quote and win this business,” he said. “I am confident we will not only beat expectations in executing this contract, but we will go on to win similar contracts in the future.”
