Relax under our trees in the picnic area or take a walk or ride on one of our walking or bicycle trails. This is an experience you will never forget. Complimenting our slogan “Out of Africa, in the City” you will not believe that you are surrounded by such tranquility whilst still in a city. Most of all, our gift to the community is to go home with a renewed appreciation for the wonder of nature and the beauty of our natural environment. Our picnic area is set in the most tranquil area of the farm surrounding our natural wetlands, where you can relax and enjoy the sunshine. Watch the ducks waddle their way around or bring a soccer ball, set up a volley ball net or a cricket pitch and challenge your family to a game. The Rietvlei Tea Garden is open everyday for those that don’t want to pack a picnic basket. The new Lifestyle Center offers conference centres, kiddies parties, shops and eateries. The Rietvlei Lifestyle Centre features the following: Edu-Kids - Afterschool, Grade R facilities and holiday programmes. Star Gardens - Spiritual Garden of Gratitude.
